How to Replace the Rear Bearing in an LG Washer

Your LG washer has two bearings -- one in the front and one in the a rear -- that work together to turn the tub. If your tub stops turning, leans to one side or starts making grinding or scraping noises, your rear bearing is likely going bad. Replacing the bearing assembly is cheaper than getting a new washer, but to do the job you will need to dissemble the unit down to the tub.

Things You'll Need

  • Screwdriver
  • Mallet
  • Wood block
  • Cloth
  • Rear bearing assembly
