How to Repair a Maytag Dg512 Radiant Flame Sensor

The Maytag DG512 is an older gas dryer model that can develop problems over time. When the dryer does not heat, it cannot properly dry the clothing. A malfunctioning radiant flame sensor prevents the gas dryer from igniting and keep it from reaching the desired temperature. If the dryer is no longer under warranty, you can save yourself a repair bill by replacing the radiant flame sensor yourself.

Things You'll Need

  • Phillips head screwdriver
  • 1/4 inch socket and ratchet
  • Needle nose pliers
  • New radiant flame sensor
