Taking the Lint Catcher Off a Samsung Front-Load Dryer

Samsung recommends removing the lint catcher after each load to clean the screen. Cleaning the lint catcher screen also helps reduce drying time. The lint catcher screen filters much of the lint from getting inside the dryer exhaust duct. Taking the lint catcher off a Samsung front-load dryer is much like any other front-load dryer. It fits snugly inside the dryer duct just inside the door opening.

Instructions

    • 1

Open the Samsung front-load dryer door. If you're operating the dryer with the drying rack, grab the sides of the rack and lift it up. Pull the drying rack out of the dryer.

    • 2

Grab the handle on top of the lint catcher screen. The lint catcher is on the bottom lip of the door opening and has a small handle toward the inside of the dryer.

    • 3

Pull the lint catcher straight out of the lint duct. Remove the lint catcher from the dryer and clean lint off the screen. Insert the lint catcher back into the dryer duct opening until it snaps into place. The lint catcher only installs one way.
