How to Connect a Condensate Tube to an Axxis Dryer

Ventless dryers like the Bosch Axxis do not require an exhaust outlet for the warm, damp air produced during the course of a cycle. The vaporized water removed from clothes is instead condensed back into a liquid and drained away in a similar fashion to a washing machine. During installation you will be required to install the condensate tube to the back of the dryer and run it to the nearest sink or standpipe. This way the dryer can drain water whenever necessary.

Things You'll Need

  • Condensate hose (supplied with the dryer)
  • Zip tie

Instructions

    • 1

Locate the connection for the condensate tube on the back panel of the dryer. The tube connects to a small plastic nozzle recessed in the lower left corner as you face the front.

    • 2

Slide one end of the rubber condensate tube over the plastic nozzle so it forms a tight connection. Run the tube in the direction of the nearest sink or drain.

    • 3

Secure the pipe in place in the sink or drain with a zip tie. If there is enough room you can use the same plumbing connection as your washing machine.

    • 4

Connect the dryer to its power supply.
