How to Fix a Whirlpool Duet Washer That Leaks Around the Door

Whirlpool front loading washers have to have a watertight seal between the door and the rest of the machine to prevent leaks. To create this seal a gasket is installed between the door and the washer tube. The gasket should last for many years without any need for replacement or repair. Over time, however, the seal may dry out and crack, ruining the seal. Replacement parts are available from Whirlpool and can be installed yourself.
