Instructions

    • 1

Turn off the electricity for the Bosch dishwasher at the main circuit breaker. The dishwasher should be installed on its own circuit in the main breaker. Move the switch that controls the dishwasher to the "Off" position.

    • 2

Remove the lower kick panel and toe panel from the Bosch dishwasher. These are the panels located directly beneath the dishwasher door. They are usually held in place by screws on the sides. Depending on your Bosch dishwasher, there may also be screws located on the top of the kick panel. Remove these by opening the dishwasher door.

    • 3

Turn off the water supply for the Bosch dishwasher at the water supply valve, usually located underneath the sink.

    • 4

Locate the dishwasher pump underneath the Bosch dishwasher. The best way to identify the pump is by looking for the drain hose connected to the outlet at the side of the pump.

    • 5

Use a screwdriver to remove the hose clamp holding the drain hose in place.

    • 6

Make note of how the wiring harness is connected to the Bosch pump, as you will need to reconnect these wires to the same terminals when replacing the pump. Pull the terminal harness out of the side of the pump with a pair of needle-nose pliers, or use a screwdriver to loosen the terminal screws before removing the wires.

    • 7

Use a wrench to loosen the mounting screws holding the pump in place on the cabinet. Pull the pump out from beneath the washer.

    • 8

Insert a new pump into place underneath the washer. Secure with the mounting screws. Replace the drain hose and secure with the hose clamp. Replace the wiring harness or reconnect the wiring screws.

    • 9

Turn the water supply valve back on.

    • 10

Restore the electricity to the Bosch dishwasher. Run a short load and check that the pump is operating correctly. If not, double check that you have the wires reconnected in the right places.

    • 11

Replace the kick panels underneath the dishwasher.
