How to Troubleshoot LG TROMM WM2277HB

Though the high-powered, front-load LG WM2277HB washer is a bulky piece of equipment featuring complicated parts and connections, that doesn't mean you can't fix any problems that come up. Besides complicated issues like motor replacements, the washer sometimes acts erratically in simple ways that you can fix by making one or two small adjustments, checking hose connections and even just reorganizing your load.

Instructions

  1. Noises

    • 1

Stop the washer and check both the drum and drain filter if you hear a rattling sound during a cycle. It's likely that a coin, safety pin or other foreign got stuck in one of the two.

    • 2

Redistribute the clothes in your load if, during a cycle, it produces a very loud thumping sound. This sometimes happens with very heavy loads that become unevenly distributed.

    • 3

Adjust the leveling feet so that they're firmly resting on the ground if you hear a vibrating-like noise during a cycle. Also, remove all transit and shipping bolts and packaging.

    Water Problems

    • 4

Tighten the hose connections if water leaks from the machine during a cycle. It's likely that the hose connection is loose at either the tap or the washer. If that doesn't rectify the situation, then unclog the drain pipe.

    • 5

Fully open the water supply tap and ensure that other household taps are working, the water inlet hose isn't bent and that the inlet hose filter isn't clogged if no water enters the washer or it enters it at an extremely slow pace.

    • 6

Reduce the amount of detergent you're using if the washer produces excessive suds during a cycle. Also, consider using high efficiency detergent.

    Electrical Problems

    • 7

Plug the power cord tightly into the wall outlet if the washer doesn't start. Also, check your fuse and circuit breaker, and ensure that your water supply hasn't been turned off.

    • 8

Completely shut the door. Close the washer door and press the "Start" button if it doesn't spin. The door must be tightly shut and locked before spinning can be achieved.

    • 9

Ignore any increases in the washing time, as the washer automatically adjusts the time based on water pressure and water temperature.
