# Removing a Door Seal from a Frigidaire Affinity Washer
The Frigidaire Affinity washer is a front-loading unit whose door contains a seal to help prevent water from leaking during a wash cycle. If you notice water coming from the washer door, you may need to replace the door seal. You can remove the door seal manually from the inside of the front panel of the washer, and once you've done that you can inspect the part for any damage.

Move your Frigidaire Affinity washer away from the wall. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.

Open the front door of the washer. Pull out the spring wire connect to the door seal, using needle-nose pliers.

Move the needle-nose pliers around the door to pull out the spring wire, which will detach the door seal.

Pull out the door seal with your hands. Inspect the door seal for any rips or other damage. Replace the door seal if necessary.

Push the new door seal into the insert surrounding the front portion connected to the door.

Place the spring wire back into place, using the needle-nose pliers. Close the washer door, then plug the washer back in to the outlet.
