The detergent box of the washer has three compartments, each for powder, liquid, and wash boost. Over the course of several years, a detergent box will get dirty and may develop mold. Regular removal of the tray is necessary for cleaning, which helps prevent foul smells in the wash.

     Pull out on the detergent tray.

     Pres down on the release button of the detergent.

   • 3

     Gently lift up on the detergent tray and pull it out of the machine.

   • 4

     Clean the detergent tray with soap and water. Add 1 part bleach to 1 gallon water to kill any mold or algae in the tray and rinse thoroughly before inserting it back into the washer.
