How to Reset an Open Door Latch That Is Locked on a Bosch Washer

The Bosch Home Appliances Corporation manufacturers the Axxis washer family, which features Advance Touch Control technology. In some cases, the intuitive programming that the company put forth in the machine can create the situation of a locked door. You might need to manually interrupt a cycle, or the machine can automatically seize up due to issues that affect your whole home. There are three aspects of your Bosch dishwasher that result in a locked door, but you can easily remedy them on your own.

Initiate emergency unlocking procedures. Turn the "Cycle Selector" knob to the "Off" position. Unplug the washer's power cord from the electrical outlet in the wall. Open the service door located at the bottom of the washer. Loosen the screws, and pull out the protective foil. Expose the emptying hose from the holder. Remove the cap on the hose, and drain the suds from the holder into a container. Replace the cap, push the hose back in and then screw on protective foil. Pull the emergency unlock out with pliers to release the latch. Open the front-loading door on the washer. Replace and close the service door.
