Locate the leveling legs in each corner of the washing machine. You might have to move the appliance away from the wall to access the rear legs.
Place a spirit level on top of the dryer; use a stepladder if necessary. Line the level parallel with the front edge of the dryer and check where the bubble floats in the vial; it floats between the markings when the stack is level. Place the level parallel with one of the sides and again check the bubble.
Raise or lower either of the front legs if the bubble floated to the left or right when placed parallel with the front edge. Turning the legs with an adjustable wrench enables you to adjust the height of that particular corner. Raise the right side if the bubble floated to the left; raise the left side if the bubble floated to the right.
Raise or lower the front legs equal amounts to adjust the balance between the front and back as illustrated when the level was placed parallel to the side of the dryer. Raise the front if the bubble was close to the back of the dryer; lower the front if the bubble was too close to the front of the dryer.
Move the appliance back into place, if necessary.
