How to Remove a Frigidaire Washing Machine Pump

During the washing cycle of your Frigidaire washer, the machine fills with water. Water is supplied through a hose in the back of the machine to the pump, located toward the base of the unit. The washing machine pump in a Frigidaire comes in one of two varieties: direct or belt driven. Removal of the pump is necessary when the pump is clogged or malfunctioning. Give yourself an afternoon for the repair; it requires taking apart a large portion of your washer.
