How to Replace a Timer on a Maytag Atlantis Washer

Maytag Atlantis washing machines are top-loading appliances used to launder garments in a residential setting. The washing machine has a timer located on the control panel housing at the rear of the top of the washer. The timer is a rotary dial that when energized, rotates to advance the wash cycle settings. A damaged timer makes the washing machine inoperable, requiring immediate replacement.
