How to Repair an LG Tromm Washer Door That Squeaks in the Spin Cycle

The LG Tromm washer has four adjustable feet that require a level surface to prevent loud squeaks or thumping while in the spin cycle, as the washer uses a high-performance washing drum to eliminate all moisture from your clothing. A persistent squeak while cleaning is a telltale sign of the washer's imbalance, and it results in an audible squealing sound that continues until the spin cycle finishes. The washer uses adjustable feet to simplify the task of lowering or raising the washer to balance the machine when your home's floor is uneven. If the squeaking persists contact LG customer service, as professional repair may be necessary to further diagnose the noise.

Instructions

    • 1

Press the "Start/Pause" button to interrupt the current spin cycle, and wait for the washer's drum to come to a complete stop.

    • 2

Place the leveling tool on top of the washer, and pull or push the washer as close to the wall as possible.

    • 3

Look at the leveling tool to determine which side is uneven. The leveling tool's air bubble will be more to the left if the right side of the washer is uneven, or more to the right if the left side is uneven.

    • 4

Turn the washer's feet clockwise with the wrench to raise the washer, or turn the washer's feet counterclockwise to lower the washer.

    • 5

Look at the leveling tool to inspect the washer's level. The air bubble rests in the middle of the leveling tool when the washer is balanced.

    • 6

Tighten the lock nut on each of the washer's leg to secure the leg's position.

    • 7

Push "Start/Pause" to start the washer's spin cycle.
