The Kenmore #11085862401 Does Not Complete the Cycle

Error Code

• The dryer has a digital control panel on the top. Determine if an error code is displayed when the cycle does not complete. A “PF” code means you have had a power failure. To get the dryer working properly again, just push and hold the ”Start” button for a few seconds until the dryer starts. An error code of “E” followed by a number means an internal component has failed and the unit must be serviced.

Blown Fuse or Circuit Breaker Tripped

• Your dryer may have experienced a power surge and blown a fuse or tripped a circuit breaker. Dryers work on either two fuses or two circuit breakers, but you may only have one that is bad. Replace or reset any blown fuse(s) or tripped breaker(s). If your home has a fuse box, you can only use a time-delay fuse with the dryer or it will not function properly. Once fixed, push and hold the “Start” button to resume the cycle.

Loose Power Cord

• A loose power cord can cause a power failure that stops the cycle from completing. If your dryer is not sitting level it may vibrate when it is in use. Over time, this might loosen the power cord from the outlet. Even if your dryer does not vibrate or rock when in use, still give the power cord a firm push to confirm that it is secure in the wall outlet. Push and hold the “Start” button to restart the dryer.

Needs to be Leveled

• This model dryer has moisture sensors in the drum. During the automatic dry cycle, these sensors determine when the laundry no longer is wet. However, if the dryer is not sitting level the laundry will not hit the sensors properly. This results in the cycle ending before the laundry actually is dry. Try pushing on the corners of the dryer to determine if it is sitting level or not. If it rocks in place or from side to side, loosen the legs with a wrench and adjust them so that the dryer is sitting level. Once the machine is level select a new cycle and push “Start.”
