Directions for Replacing One-Time Thermal Fuses in Whirlpool Dryers

To help protect your dryer and home from the dangers of an overheating appliance, your Whirlpool dryer is equipped with a thermal fuse. This fuse will open if the dryer exceeds its maximum safe operating temperature. If you try to turn your dryer on and nothing happens, a blown thermal fuse may be the culprit. The thermal fuse is not hard to get to, and changing it yourself is a lot cheaper than calling a repairman.
