How to Replace the Front Boot on a GE Washer

The boot seal is a circular rubber gasket that sits behind the door of a GE washer. All GE washers come with a boot seal, as this is the component that prevents water from leaking. As you might imagine, if problems arise to properly shutting the washer door, or water is leaking from the unit, the seal needs to be replaced. If you are interested in home appliance repair projects, the seal can be replaced without the need of professional assistance.
