How to Replace a Rubber Gasket on a Kenmore Washer

Kenmore washer tubs have a seal, called a gasket, that prevents leaks from the washer as it runs. The problem with rubber gaskets is that they collect water over time, which causes the seal to deteriorate. Cracks or splits in the gasket will allow water and soap to leak out the front of the machine. Luckily, gaskets are cheap to repair, but only if you do the repair yourself. Always use Kenmore certified replacement parts for the best result.
