Move the washer away from the wall or out from beneath the counter while being careful not to pull on the power cord or water lines.
Put the spirit level on top of the washer parallel with the front edge and take a reading from the vial. Take the same reading parallel with one of the sides.
Tip the washing machine backward so it is standing on its rear feet only. Prop the appliance in position with a wooden block.
Loosen the nut at the top of each leg with an adjustable wrench. This enables you to extend or retract the leveling legs.
Turn the right front leveling leg counterclockwise with an adjustable wrench to raise the corresponding corner of the washer. Turn the leg clockwise to lower that corner. Work until the bubble in the spirit level floats between the markings.
Repeat this process on the back legs by tipping the appliance onto its front legs. Turn both front or rear legs the same amount the adjust the balance front to back as illustrated by the spirit level when it was placed parallel with one of the sides.
Move the washer back into position and push down on the top. It should not rock side to side or back and forth when it is properly adjusted.
