Pry the handle filler out of the door trim with a putty knife or thin flathead screwdriver. Move to the other side of the door opening and pry off the hinge cover. Loosen and remove the Torx screws that connect the door hinge to the dryer cabinet. Set the door face up on a soft surface to prevent scratching.
Remove the screws and door handle and set them aside. Unscrew the six Torx screws that hold the two panels of the door together. Pull the inner door panel away from the outer panel and set it on a soft surface with the screws facing up.
Take out the Phillips screws that secure the hinge and handle bracket to the inner door panel. Move the handle bracket to the other side of the panel and tighten the screws. Switch the hinge to the opposite side of the door panel and tighten the screws.
Set the inner door assembly back into the outer door panel and tighten the six Torx screws. Install the new handle from your door reversal kit into the opening in the side of the door. Tighten the two Phillips screws to secure the handle. Insert the second hinge screw into the hole. Hang the hinge and door on this screw and insert the other three screws into the holes.
Use the end of a flathead screwdriver to pry out the plastic screw hole covers on the hinge side of the door opening. Insert the covers into the open screw holes on the opposite side of the door opening. Insert the new handle filler into the door trim so it lines up with the latch in the door handle. Insert the new hinge cover on the opposite side of the door trim. Open and close the door several times to test the hinge movement and latch alignment.
