# How to Replace a Baffle for an Electrolux Washer
The baffles in your Electrolux washer are installed on the side of the internal drum. These thin plastic or rubber components help direct the flow of water during a wash cycle. Over time it is possible for one or more of these baffles to become loose in the drum. If this happens, remove and replace the baffle yourself.
Things You'll Need
- Phillips screwdriver
- Flathead screwdriver

Turn off your washer and move it away from the wall.

Remove the screws on the rear of the top panel of the washer with your Phillips screwdriver.

Lift the top panel of the washer up to give you access to the internal tub.

Unplug the water hose connected to the port in the tub and turn the tub until you reach the area with the damaged baffle.

Pop the damaged baffle out of the housing. You may need to use the tip of a flathead screwdriver to pop it out.

Fit a new baffle in the compartment and press it in until the metal tabs lock in place.

Replace the tube and top panel of the washer.
