How to Troubleshoot and Repair an LG Ventless Dryer

The DLEC855 series from LG includes two ventless dryers, including the DLEC855R and DLEC855W. Both can be troubleshot by checking your home's power supply, adjusting your load and cleaning certain dryer components. To repair the dryer, however, you will need to schedule service with LG by dialing 1-800-243-0000; these dryers are highly complex electronic devices that, if improperly repaired, could lead to a fatal injury.

      Stop the dryer and ensure no foreign objects like keys or coins are present if you hear a rattling or clanking sound during a cycle.

      Confirm that the dryer's plug is securely fitted into a grounded, 3-prong, 120-VAC and 60-Hz. outlet if you encounter no power. Also, check your home's fuse box and circuit breaker.

      Check whether your fuse is blown or your circuit breaker is stripped if the dryer won't heat, as this can lead to the dryer tumbling but not providing heat.

      Unplug the power cord and dial for service if you encounter the following display error: "tE1,tE3,LE."

      Clean the lint filter if your clothes end up covered in lint by by opening the door, pulling out the filter, prying it open and using your fingers to roll the line off the surface.

      Apply fabric softener to your laundry if your clothes are covered in too much static after drying. Also, try using a shorter drying time and using a weaker drying setting.
