How to Replace the Hall Sensor on a Maytag Neptune MAH8700

When you are running a washing cycle in your Maytag MAH8700 model Neptune washing machine, you may hearing a loud clanking sound coming from the washer's drum caused from the cycle spinning too fast. The hall sensor attached to the rotor in the back of your washer is used to help control the cycle speeds. The sensor can be manually removed at any time and replaced with a new one, which you can order from a Maytag manufacturer or online retailer.
