Switch off the circuit breaker that supplies electricity to the washer. Unplug the washer from the wall outlet. Move the washer away from the wall so you can access the back panel.
Remove the screw from each corner of the back panel using a Phillips-head screwdriver. Pull the panel away from the washer and lean it against the side of the machine. Reserve the four Phillips screws for reassembly.
Slide the plastic cover off the drain pump assembly located on the bottom right-hand side of the washer cabinet. Set the plastic cover aside with the other removed washer components.
Pinch the metal clamps on the left and right drain hoses, and slide them back. Slip a metal nail file or small flat-head screwdriver under the edge of the left drain hose and wiggle it back and forth until the sealing compound breaks. Hold a pan or towel under the hose and remove the hose from the pump. Repeat the process to remove the right drain hose.
Remove the two Phillips screws that hold the pump mounting plate to the floor of the washer. Set the removed screws to the side.
Firmly pull on the wiring connector to detach the wires from the pump assembly. Lift the entire assembly out of the washer cabinet.
Turn over the removed drain pump assembly to access the bottom of the mounting plate. Remove the two Phillips screws from the bottom of the plate to separate the two components.
