How to Light the Pilot of a Maytag MDG6000BWW

The MDG6000BWW is part of the Maytag MDG range of gas dryers that uses both electricity and gas to operate. According to Maytag, the whole MDG range does not use a standard pilot-light system to keep the gas lit continuously. Instead, the gas operates by an ignition system that automates the lighting process via the dryer control panel. In this way, the gas lights when the dryer starts and shuts off when the dryer finishes a cycle.
