How to Replace a Kenmore Dryer Pulley

The idler pulley inside a Kenmore dryer is responsible for applying the proper tension to the drive belt, as well as keeping the belt aligned on the drum and motor shaft. A loose belt will cause it to slip on the drum and may lead to the belt slipping from the motor shaft altogether. Replace the pulley if it becomes damaged to ensure the correct belt alignment and consistent drum spin.

Things You'll Need
