The Overflow Water in My Maytag Washer Does Not Shut Off

Tap "Power" to shut off the washer. Turn the washer around to access the back.

Clamp down on the coupling located at the end of the inlet hose connected to the washer, using the pliers.

Turn the coupling counterclockwise with the pliers until the hose detaches from the washer.

Place a bucket under the detached hose. Turn on the faucet to flush out the hose with water.

Brush the screen at the end of the hose to remove mineral deposits. Attach the hose's coupling to the back of the washer.

Turn the coupling clockwise to tighten the connection, until the coupling stops turning. Clamp the pliers over the coupling, then turn the coupling two-thirds of a full turn to secure it to the washer.

Squeeze the clamp located on the drain hose on the back of the washer. Push the drain hose onto the washer's drain opening.

Release the clamp to secure the connection between the washer and the drain hose.
