# My Frigidaire Washer Agitates During the Spin Cycle
One problem that plagues many washing machines, including Frigidaire washing machines, is shaking during the spin cycle. This problem can be so bad the washer may even begin to move across the floor. A shaking washer is the result of bad balance. There's no need to purchase a whole new washing machine because, as long as you correct the balance, the machine will cease to shake.
Things You'll Need
- Bubble level
- Machine lubricant
- Wood block

Turn off your washing machine and unplug the unit.

Move the washer away from the wall.

Prop up the washer on a block of wood so you have access to its bottom legs.

Unscrew the locking nuts around the legs to loosen the legs.

Move the legs in or out and make sure they are all an even length. Tighten the locking nuts.

Find a level area on the floor, using a level. Place your washer in this area.

Check the legs of the washer with the level. If the washer is off, prop it up and repeat the steps. Repeat as necessary until the legs are level with the floor.
