How to Install a Jenn-Air Griddle

Jenn-Air ranges and cooktops are available in many versions, some of which have a griddle feature as part of the cooking surface. Griddles are common in restaurants and professional kitchens, but are not often seen inside the home. Griddles are useful when frying comfort foods like breakfast or burgers on a flat surface without the need for cookware. The process of installing a new griddle on your Jenn-Air range or cooktop requires only a screwdriver and some basic DIY skills.

Instructions

Place the griddle pan onto the opening in the top of your Jenn-Air range or cooktop. The griddle should lie in the griddle mounting location so that its rimmed edge is flush with the range or cooktop cover, and its cooking surface is recessed slightly. The griddle-cooking surface sits lower to control grease and cooking residue from spreading onto the rest of the appliance.

Locate the mounting screw holes on your Jenn-Air griddle cover. Some models have two screws and some have four, all will be located in the corners of the griddle. Insert a screw (provided) into each hole and use your screwdriver to fasten them and the griddle in place.

Insert the drip tray into the open space at the forward end of the griddle pan. Lock the drip tray in position onto the griddle pan frame by sliding it toward the rear of the range or cooktop.
