How to Change the Vent Amount on a Huebsch Washing Machine

Huebsch washing machines include a venting system that runs a black vent hose through the back of the washer into your home wall vent. If you notice too much steam coming from the back of the washing machine, you may have a broken vent hose or a hose that is too small. The vent hose can be replaced with a larger hose, which can be ordered from Huebsch or another retailer.

Instructions

  Move your Huebsch washing machine away from the wall, and unplug the power cord from the AC wall outlet.

  Remove the screws from the vent hose clamp on the rear side of the washer, using a Phillips screwdriver. Remove the clamp from the washer.

  Remove the screws from the clamp on the wall vent, then remove the entire clamp from the wall vent.

  Pull off the vent hose from the washer and wall vent, using your hands. Discard the old vent hose part.

  Insert one end of a new and larger vent hose to the back of the washer, then place the clamp back on. Reinsert the screws into the clamp.

  Insert the other end of the vent hose into the wall vent, and place the clamp back on. Reinsert the screws into the clamp for the wall vent.

  Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet, and move the washer back into place.
