How to Replace a Door Gasket on a GE Front Loader

On a front-loader washing machine, the door is located on the front of the unit rather than the top. When a door on a GE front-loader is closed, it seals, and water is contained in the unit. The component that seals the door is a rubber gasket called a boot seal. Replacing one of these components requires you to take apart the front-load washer.
