How to Repair Door Seal Replacement on a GE Front Load Washer

When the door seal on your GE front load washer gets a tear in it, there is no reliable way to repair it. Replacing the gasket, however, is not difficult and the average do-it-yourselfer can complete the project using a few basic tools. This means you can avoid paying high labor rates for a repair technician to come to your home to install a new seal. The project will take about one and a half hours because it requires partial disassembly of the washing machine.
