Unplug the washer from the electrical outlet.
Remove the two Phillips-head screws from the control panel. Flip the panel until it's behind the washer and let it hang from its hinges. Pry off the metal clips securing the washer cabinet to the back panel with a flat-head screwdriver. Unplug the door switch wiring harness from the washer. Tilt the cabinet forward and lift it off the washer.
Loosen the clamps connecting the drain hoses to the pump. Pull the hoses off the pump housing. Unplug the wiring harness connected to the drive motor. Pry the retaining clips off the drive motor and pump. Pull both the motor and pump out of the washer.
Pull the top cap off the agitator. Remove the 9/16-inch bolt from the top of the agitator assembly. Pull the agitator assembly out of the washer basket.
Lay the washer on its back to access the gear case from underneath.
Remove the three bolts holding the gear case to the washer. Pull the gear case straight out of the washer.
Pry the large, flat washer off the shaft extending out of the gear case. Remove the ring located under the washer. Pry the retainer clip off the base of the shaft with a flat-head screwdriver. Slide the clutch assembly off the shaft.
Slide a replacement clutch onto the shaft. Snap the retainer clip around the base of the shaft. Slide the support ring onto the shaft, followed by the flat washer. Slide the shaft into the washer and align the mounting holes in the gear case with the holes in the washer frame. Insert and tighten the three retaining bolts. Turn the washer upright.
Slide the agitator assembly onto the shaft in the washer tub. Insert and tighten the 9/16-inch bolt to secure the agitator. Place the top cap on the agitator and press down on it until it snaps into place.
Place the drive motor and pump in the washer. Secure the pump and motor using the mounting clips. Connect the wiring harness to the motor. Slide the drain hoses onto the pump and tighten the clamps.
Place the front edge of the washer cabinet on the front of the washer frame. Tilt the cabinet back until it sits against the back panel. Install the clips in the top of the washer body to secure it to the back panel. Connect the wiring harness for the door switch. Flip the control panel forward, and secure it in place using the two Phillips-head screws.
