How to Replace the Cup Drive to a GE Ice Maker

The auger is a long metal rod in your ice machine that breaks up newly made ice to be dispensed in a General Electric refrigerator freezer. The drive cup part is located below the auger and above the drive motor, and its function is to filter the noise of the auger when ice is being made. If there are loud noises during the ice-making process, then you should remove the drive cup part and install a new one.
