Locate and examine the hinges connecting the door to the refrigerator; there should be one above the door at the far right or left and another one on the same side beneath the door. You may need to remove the freezer hinges and remove the freezer door on refrigerators that have a freezer above the refrigerator to access the top hinge of the fridge door.
Pry any decorative hinge cover away with your screwdriver. Loosen and remove the bolts connecting the hinge to the refrigerator with the appropriate socket.
Loosen and remove the bolts connecting the lower hinge while your helper holds and removes the door from the refrigerator.
Align the hinges of the replacement door with the holes atop the refrigerator as your helper holds the door. Insert the retaining bolts and tighten them to secure the upper hinge.
Insert the retaining bolts and tighten them to secure the lower hinge. Open and close the door to test.
