How to Get the Cover Off of a Refrigerator Relay Switch

The relay switch is a small component in your refrigerator that switches the compressor on and off. The compressor is like the engine for your refrigerator, and if it isn't properly regulated by a component like a relay switch, it can overheat and possibly even catch fire. If you notice your refrigerator beginning to overheat, the problem likely lies with the relay switch. In order to remove it you must first remove the cover of its compartment.
