Replacing Freezer Sliders on the Amana Refrigerator ARB2517CS

Amana is a company that manufactures kitchen appliances, such as refrigerators. They have a line of refrigerators, like the ARB-series refrigerators, that feature a slide-out freezer located on the bottom of the unit. These freezers operate on sliders located at either side of the freezer bin. If the freezer isn't shutting properly, it could be the result of a bad slider. You can remove and replace these sliders in a matter of minutes.

     Unplug your refrigerator and remove all contents from the freezer.

     Slide the freezer out of the unit and lift it up to pop it off the rails and remove it completely.

     Remove all screws on the metal slider brackets on each side of the freezer bin. Remove the sliders.

   • 4

     Select new sliders that match your particular Amana model and place them over the sides of the freezer.

   • 5

     Secure the sliders to the sides of the freezer with screws.

   • 6

     Slide the freezer back into the refrigerator unit, making sure the sliders catch on the rails.
