Move the Kenmore refrigerator away from the wall, then unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
Lay down a towel on the bottom of the floor behind the refrigerator, then remove the screws from the bottom cover in the back of the refrigerator using a Phillips screwdriver.
Lift up and remove the bottom rear cover. Remove the screw from the clip holding the tubing in place, then remove the clip.
Disconnect the water line from the bottom front of the refrigerator door by pushing in on the gray collar of the water line connector.
Remove the bottom cover from the front side of the refrigerator by removing the screws on the cover.
Place a towel below the water line to catch any water that may leak out from the bottom of the front of the refrigerator. Press the gray collar on the water line to disconnect the back end.
Pull the old water line out from the bottom of the refrigerator. Connect one end of the new water line part to the water valve connected on the back of the refrigerator.
Reconnect the valve screw, and slide the other end of the tubing through the bottom of the refrigerator until it reaches the front.
Pull the water line tubing up through the bottom front of the refrigerator to fully thread it through. Connect the end of the water line to the front valve connector on the bottom front of the refrigerator.
Place the clip back onto the refrigerator, and reinsert the screw to the clip. Place the cover back on.
Reinsert the screws to the front bottom cover, then reconnect the power cord to the wall outlet.
