Can I Stack My Bosch Fridge & Freezer?

Since the 1930s, kitchens haven't been complete without a refrigerator. Today's models offer more features than their ancestors, such as freezer compartments and energy efficiency. The Bosch company manufacturers high-end refrigerators in different configurations other than the standard freezer-above-fridge models. However, none of its models features the convenient concept of being stackable.
  1. Bosch's 800 Series

    • The Bosch 800 series refrigerator features one model with a French-door style side-by-side refrigerator and freezer above a pull-out freezer drawer. The appliance is available as either a freestanding refrigerator or built-in single unit. Neither version can be stacked. The 2011 models comes in stainless steel and is Energy Star compliant.

    Bosch Freezers

    • Bosch does not manufacture stand-alone freezer chests or upright freezers. Its refrigeration product line includes only fridges and freezers sold as a single unit. Attempting to stack any of these models on top of or under a stand-alone freezer would be dangerous and could damage both the units.

    Stackable Refrigerator Advantage

    • Stackable refrigerators and freezers are a relatively new concept. The units can be purchased separately so you can customize your fridge and freezer based on how much food you normally need to store and the amount of space you have. The concept works well for dorm rooms and studio apartments where space is often limited.

    Stackable Refrigerator Availability

    • Because they are a new design concept, stackable refrigerators are not widely available. One company that does offer the convenience of stackable units is Electrolux. The units fit together like blocks and come in a variety of colors to match your decor.
