How to Remove the Frame of a Frigidaire GLHS267ZA

Instructions

    • 1

Turn off the refrigerator water supply valve clockwise until fully closed. Pull the refrigerator away from the wall to gain access to all sides of the unit.

    • 2

Locate the water supply line assembly on the rear of the Frigidaire refrigerator. Loosen the brass compression nut from the water supply line with a wrench by turning counterclockwise and slide the brass nut off the water supply line. Pull down and remove the sleeve that holds the assembly on the water valve inlet.

    • 3

Disconnect the water supply line from the water valve inlet and place the end of the water supply line into an empty container to catch any residual water.

    • 4

Open the refrigerator and freezer doors and grab the toe grille on the left side of the grille near the top. Pull the grille forward until the tabs clear and then move over and pull the right side of the grille free of the tabs. Lift up and out to take the toe grille off the refrigerator.

    • 5

Close the refrigerator doors and take off the hinge covers on the top of the refrigerator. Disconnect the hinge screws with a Philips-head screwdriver and lift the hinge off the refrigerator. Lift the refrigerator door up and off the bottom hinge pin and set the door aside, noting that the door may be heavy.

    • 6

Locate the water line along the bottom hinge on the freezer door and press down on the outside ring on the water line fitting. Pull the water line tube out. Lift off the top hinge cover and take out the screws.

    • 7

Find the wiring harness connector plug on the top hinge and hold the connector on each flat side. Bend the connector back and forth until loosened and then pull apart the connector.

    • 8

Lift up on the top hinge and continue to pull until the wiring harness is removed from the freezer door. Take the freezer door up and off and set the door down, avoiding placing the freezer door on the water line.

    • 9

Lift out the refrigerator and freezer shelves. Pull on the bin drawers until the drawer stops; press on the stop tab on the side of the drawer and finish removing each drawer.

    • 10

Disconnect the screws holding the remainder of the frame together and carefully lift each piece up and off.
