How to Take the Handles From a Maytag Fridge

Maytag refrigerators come in many styles, such as top-freezer, side-by-side, French door and bottom-freezer. The way the door handles attach to the refrigerator can vary as much as the refrigerator styles. Bottom-freezer and top-freezer Maytag fridge handles must be removed to reverse the door swing. It is not necessary to reverse the door switch on side-by-side and French door refrigerator models, but you may need to replace damaged handles.
