How to Clean the Filter on a GE Profile Ice Maker

Foul-tasting or cloudy ice is a clear indication of an old filter on your GE Profile refrigerator, and you will need to replace the cartridge to restore clean, filtered water to your ice maker. How frequently you will need to replace the cartridge depends on the amount of use of your ice maker. When the filter's cartridge needs to be replaced, an alert will appear on the refrigerator control panel. You can order replacement cartridges from the GE website, and they are also available from your local GE dealer.
