Move the refrigerator away from the wall and then unplug it from the electrical outlet.
Locate the main board cover, which is located above the lower rear access panel and is secured using several hex screws.
Remove the screws securing the main board cover and then remove the main board cover.
Take a picture of the main board using a digital camera prior to disconnecting the wire connectors to reference during the installation of the new main board.
Depress the tab on each wire connector and pull if off of the main board.
Release the tabs securing the main board to the refrigerator using needle-nose pliers and then remove the old main board. Discard the main board.
Snap the new main board onto the plastic tabs to secure it in place.
Connect the wire connectors to the new main board. If necessary, refer to the picture taken to ensure that the connectors are connected to the correct terminals.
Reinstall the main board cover using the screws that were removed to secure it to the cabinet.
Plug the refrigerators power cord back into the wall outlet and then move the refrigerator back against the wall.
