Unplug the your KitchenAid Superba refrigerator's power cord from the wall outlet.
Open the freezer door and loosen the two screws above the ice maker, securing the ice maker to the freezer's wall.
Lift the ice maker up and off of the two screws that were loosened, passing the screws through the eye holes on the ice maker brackets.
Pull the ice maker toward the center of the freezer so that the wire connector pulls away from the rear wall.
Depress the tab on the ice maker wire connector, and then pull the ice maker wire connector out of the refrigerator wire harness. Remove the ice maker from the freezer compartment.
Plug the new ice maker's wire connector into the refrigerator wire harness, ensuring that the tab on the wire connector snaps into place. Move the ice maker toward its installation location. Tuck the wires into the rear wall of the refrigerator.
Hang the ice maker on the mounting screws, and then tighten the screws to secure the ice maker to the sidewall of the freezer.
Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet to restore the refrigerator's power supply.
