Routine cleaning is essential to maintaining the sanitation and performance of your Kenmore bottom freezer, and it is possible by removing the drawer's panel from the main refrigeration unit. The freezer panel pulls out to provide access to your freezer drawer, although detaching it requires the assistance of another person due to the door's weight. The pull-out freezer is heavy and can cause personal injury if it is mishandled. Once removed, the freezer's contents require alternative freezer storage to prevent thawing and spoilage.
