How to Replace a Door Gasket on a Frigidaire

The door gasket on your Frigidaire refrigerator is one of the most important parts for maintaining the temperature inside the appliance. The gasket is installed around the perimeter of the door, and it compresses between the door and the jamb when the door is closed. This compression ensures that warm air cannot enter the refrigerator, and cold air cannot escape. The rubber door gasket can and will break down over time, at which point you will need to replace it. Unlike the gaskets on many other refrigerators, the door gasket on your Frigidaire refrigerator is secured with screws, which have to be loosened prior to the removal of the gasket.
