How to Remove a GE Profile Ice Maker

The ice maker in your General Electric profile refrigerator is installed in the freezer compartment of the appliance. It is sometimes necessary to remove the ice maker, such as when replacing the ice maker, or if making repairs to the refrigerator's air-flow or evaporator systems, which are located behind the rear panel of the freezer. The ice maker is secured in position using several mounting screws, which when removed allow the ice maker to pull out of the refrigerator.
