Pull the refrigerator toward you, and unplug its power cord from the electrical outlet.
Locate the water supply line on the back of the refrigerator, and tighten the nut on the water supply line using your hand.
Place the wrench's teeth around the nut, and turn the nut to the right until the nut is secure but not too tight. If you overtighten the nut, you can damage the water supply line. The nut is overtightened if it no longer moves when turning it with the wrench.
Inspect for leaks in the water supply line. Plug the refrigerator back into the outlet, and push the refrigerator back into place.
If the problem is ice melt cause by a freezer temperature that is too high, open the freezer side of the refrigeration unit and turn the freezer's temperature knob to the right to lower the temperature to a colder setting.
