How to Fix a Kenmore Elite Ice Maker That Is Pouring Out Water?

The Kenmore refrigerator with a built-in ice maker/water dispenser receives water from the water supply line located on the back of the appliance and filters water through the refrigerator's cartridge to provide clean ice and water. A new cartridge replacement is initially filled with tap water to clear out sediment and air. The cartridge requires thorough flushing before it operates normally, as water will continuously leak from the ice maker when a new cartridge is installed but not flushed. The refrigerator also requires calibration of the dispenser, which configures the proper pressure for dispensing water.
