Unplug the KitchenAid power cord and slide the refrigerator forward from the wall.
Take out the bolts in the access panel on the bottom rear of the KitchenAid. The water hose fist through this panel into the appliance.
Pull off the panel and slide it back on the hose. Check the connection where the hose screws into the water valve immediately behind the access panel to locate the source of any seeping water around the valve.
Tighten the copper or nylon nut clockwise on the end of the hose where it connects to the valve inside the KitchenAid, using the adjustable wrench. If the water was seeping from the connection, tightening the nut typically stops the problem. Seeping water in the seams of the valve itself is a sign that the valve is worn out and must be replaced. Water valves for the KitchenAid cannot be repaired, only replaced.
